Open Detonation (OD)

• DETOTEKNİK has the opportunity and capability to dispose ammunition and explosives using safe techniques with its conscious, experienced and certified (EOD) personnel according to the environmental characteristics of each disposal site by calculating the safety principles, precautions, hazardous area calculations and the hazards that will arise in the disposal of ammunition, which has become difficult as a natural result of the rapid developments in ammunition technology.
• As a general principle in this activity, DETOTEKNİK applies the principle that there is no safe way to dispose or render safe ammunition, there is the method with the least risk.
• In the disposal activity; mechanical (second fuse), electrical and non-electrical (Non-hand) firing methods are used.
• Before each activity, calculations of real, disposed parts and blast hazardous zones are meticulously calculated. The radius of the hazardous area is cleared, entrances and exits are restricted and secured. When necessary, law enforcement agencies are contacted and support is requested.
• Ammunition and explosives that can be disposed by incineration are disposed by this method.
  Small arms ammunition and small explosives are disposed in the incinerator designed and manufactured by DETOTEKNİK.
