The main objectives of this training are for the civilian population living in areas with mines/unexploded ordnance (UXO) to recognize them, to be aware of the threat, to know how to act against possible dangers, to know which units to ask for help in case of an incident, the rights of mine victims and the principles of application.
This training is organized to prevent accidents and encourage safe behavior by raising awareness about the dangers of mines and AEDs (War Remnant Explosive Substances) in the region. DETOTEKNİK, EORE Directorate is to determine the procedures required to plan, implement and supervise the CDP risk trainings in accordance with MAFAM and IMAS standards. DETOTEKNİK will assign EORE trainers certified by MAFAM or trained in accordance with MAFAM standards.
The training program is designed to include theoretical and practical applications. Participants will receive detailed training on mine/unexploded ordnance (UXO) hazards, international conventions, MAFAM’s duties, demining methods, security measures, victim assistance, EORE basic principles, application methods, preparation of training materials, effective communication techniques, critical thinking and scenario development. Trainings will be held at DETOTEKNİK Training Center and field applications will also be carried out when necessary.
At the end of the training, the knowledge and skills of the participants will be evaluated by MAFAM officials and those who are successful will be awarded a EORE certificate by MAFAM. The certified trainers will be assigned to provide EORE trainings in the regions determined by DETOTEKNİK EORE Directorate and will be able to take part in MAFAM approved projects. DETOTEKNIK will provide in-service trainings and updates if deemed necessary to support the continuous development of trainers.
